Both kinds of jobs are available i.e. for part time as well as for full time maids jobs in Chennai. You have to decide what is your preference. A 24 hours job can fetch you a higher salary. But, these are the other factors that you can consider:
1. Your personal obligations: In a full time maid job, you have to live away from your family. If you have small kids or elderly in your family, who need your time and attention, live-in maid job may not be suitable for you.
2. Your location: If you live in a locality where there are families who employ maids, then you will be able to find a part time job. However, if you live in a remote location where there are not too many economically upper class/middle class families, then the only option is to do full day maid job so that you don’t have to travel far everyday.
3. Your previous experience in maid job: It will depend upon how was your past experience working as a live-in maid. If you found it hard to adjust to the food taste of the employer family, then you may be sceptical of trying it again. Similarly, if you had issues adjusting with multiple family members of your employer then also this experience will demotivate you from taking up a 24 hrs job.
